Mary Trump reacts to Donald Trump's announcement that he has COVID-19

Mary Trump

We know there's no love lost between President Donald Trump and his niece Mary L. Trump, who wrote the tell-all book an excessive amount of and Never Enough. And while she stayed silent within the early hours of Friday, once we all first acknowledged that the president and his wife, first lady Melania Trump tested positive for coronavirus, she finally broke her silence on Twitter to react to her uncle's COVID-19 diagnosis. The message was brief, to the purpose, and did nothing to cover Mary's apparent dislike for her uncle, whom she is currently suing for fraud (via CNN). Mary tweeted: "I reserve my sympathy, empathy, and despair for those that are sick and for those that have died because they were misled, lied to, or ignored. Wear a f***ing mask."

Rather than deride Mary for her pithy comment, followers gave her quite 37,000 likes, and an honest number was in tune with Mary's sentiment.

One follower tweeted: "It's funny how people try to form covid19 to be anything but what it really is: indiscriminate viral killer. As we've all learned in class, it's only funny until someone dies. And play politics with it as Trump has? that is the real killer." Another said: "Trump downplayed COVID and 200k Americans died thanks to his utter incompetence but Karma may be a b**** and chickens have click to roost. His re-election likelihood is that falling sort of a house of cards albeit he lives and it's what it's. I'm looking forward to posting Trump America." a 3rd replied to Mary's comment with: "A narcissistic murderous confidence man with an epidemic remains a narcissistic murderous confidence man
Others questioned the authenticity of the COVID diagnosis, with one tweeting: "I am skeptical about Trump and his wife testing positive for COVID!! Remember, he's a showman, and what better thanks to getting out of doing any longer debate since he clearly lost the primary one thanks to him telling the Proud Boys to face back and standby. he's FAKING IT..."
But not all who left comments were experiencing a touch of schadenfreude — one involved some compassion. "As a person's being, I reserve my sympathy and empathy for all other humans. We must appeal to the higher angels of our nature if we are to grow and move forward because of the human race" (via Twitter).

Donald Trump's coronavirus risk factors explained

Donald Trump's coronavirus risk factors explained

Simply because he's 74 years old and thought of to be obese, President Donald Trump could face a challenging few weeks as he struggles to beat the coronavirus. CNN says the president possesses two of the danger factors that might expose him to a more severe sort of the illness and quotes the CDC as saying that as an older man, the president faces five times more risk of hospitalization and 90 times greater risk of dying from COVID-19 in comparison to persons between the ages of 18 to 29.

The CDC also says eight out of 10 COVID deaths within the US happened to adults of 65 years and older. to stop him from getting sick, the CDC had recommended wearing a mask and practicing social distancing — which Trump himself didn't like doing. Michael Baker, a New-Zealand based global health expert tells The NY Times that: "If you do not know anything about Donald Trump, just knowing that he's a male, over 70, and appears to be overweight, directly, you'll say he's within the high-risk group."

This is to not say that recovery is impossible. Benjamin Cowling, head of epidemiology at the University of Hong Kong says: "A lot of individuals his age who get COVID are literally fine." the result now rests on whether the president has any underlying health conditions — that we'd or won't realize — and which could create complications.

Hours after the White House announced that Donald Trump had tested positive for COVID-19, The NY Times reported that the president began exhibiting what it called mild, cold-like symptoms. those that had met him on Thursday night at a fundraiser said he seemed to be groggy and lethargic. The president also fell asleep on Air Force One during his return to Washington from a rally in Minnesota on Wednesday.

If he hadn't developed any symptoms, one Hong Kong-based doctor says antibodies appear after 10 days, and Trump will recover quickly. If symptoms appear — like a cough, fever, or difficulty breathing, which appears to be the case, he'd need every week to repel the coronavirus. If symptoms worsen, hospitalization may become necessary. At the top of the day, "You couldn't put a selected time thereon [recovery]," University of Sydney virologist Dominic Dwyer says. "Irrespective of what one cares about politics, you would not wish this on anyone."

Less than two hours later, Trump confirmed: "Tonight, @FLOTUS and that I tested positive for COVID-19. we'll begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. we'll get through this TOGETHER!"

CNN says it's unclear what the president's 14-day quarantine process will appear as if since the president is within the middle of the campaign season. The NY Times says that albeit he remains asymptomatic, per CDC guidelines, he has got to withdraw from the campaign trail and isolate himself. And if the becomes sick, questions could be raised about whether he should get on the ballot in the least.

White House Operations collaborates with the Physician to the President and therefore the White House Military Office to make sure all plans and procedures incorporate current CDC guidelines and best practices for limiting COVID-19 exposure to the best extent possible both on complex and when the President is traveling" (via CNN).

Trump himself confirmed the news to, admitting the likelihood of contact exposure. "She did test positive, I just heard about this. She tested positive.
